15th September

More Singing Workshops will run over the autumn months at The Old Mill Centre, Skeeby, stimulated by encouraging feed-back from participants.  This is part of the centre’s developing programme of creative activities led by experienced musical director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole.

The next sessions will run on: Saturday 27th September, 10am – 12.15pm for ladies and 1.30-3.15pm for children aged 7-14.  They are open to anyone who loves to sing, regardless of ability.

Covering a range of popular music genres, the workshops are designed to enthuse and inspire people about singing, music-making – and life.

“Thank you for the wonderful workshop yesterday.  It’s always up-lifting to have a good sing and I loved the songs you chose!” commented Julia Young after the sessions for women in the spring.

“Just come along and try it out.  If you enjoy it you may like to come again sometime!”  says DBS checked Workshop Leader and Centre Director Barbara.

The sessions cost £5 and include drinks and biscuits. To book a place or for more information contact barbara@oldmillcentre.co.uk, visit the centre’s website: www.oldmillcentre.co.uk or phone: 01625 523397.

There will be another day of workshops on 1st November, 10am – 12.15pm for ladies and 1.30-3.15pm for children aged 7-14.  Parents will also be invited to see what the children have been doing on the same day at 3.15pm. The ladies’ group will have the opportunity to present their songs at The Old Mill Centre's next informal, no obligation Showcase Entre Nous, also on 1st November, 4.15pm.
