Last Saturday, The Old Mill Centre was delighted and honoured to welcome William Hague MP to open their newly built studio theatre and other facilities.

Beginning with a tour of the The Old Mill’s seven bedroom accommodation, Mr. Hague was shown round the refurbished old studio, chatting with guests and willingly posing for photos with them.  Visiting the new studio theatre was next on Mr. Hague’s itinerary before cutting the ribbon & declaring it officially open.

Invited guests, lapping up the atmosphere of this momentous occasion, responded warmly to the insightful, affable & witty Foreign Secretary during a short ceremony of celebratory speeches that followed.  Managing Director Barbara, Director Mick, and Swift’s Martin Lawson, Project Manager of the build, also had their chance to say a few words.

The new studio theatre, built in memory of Barbara’s first husband, will now be available for hire.  Visitors will be able to benefit from this fabulous resource for whatever they feel inspired to use it for. The centre is particularly excited that they can now develop and offer the courses and workshops as presented on their website, www.oldmillcentre.co.uk, drawing from them the restorative and life-enhancing properties of the performing & creative arts.  Using creative expression via the arts, guests will have the opportunity to unlock energy for healing and restoring – to live fully and confidently.
