3rd July

Step away from the chaos of modern living with your house/home group, worship group, music/drama group, youth group, alpha group.

With seven bedrooms, The Old Mill Centre provides high quality residential accommodation for up to 20 people.  The centre can also accommodate 50-60 people non-residentially.  Specialist facilities in the Nigel Cole Studio Theatre and the David Sutcliffe Quiet Room may be of particular interest to your group.

Numerous church groups have already visited The Old Mill Centre, truly connecting with our mission verse from Psalm 31 “You have set my feet in a spacious place” [v8]

Glorious sunshine enticed the ladies from West Lane Baptist Church, Haworth to enjoy the fresh air on the steps of the Mill, as featured in the photo. They have visited The Old Mill Centre twice already for their retreat and have booked another visit this September.  In October 2011 the group enjoyed spending time sewing a banner for their church.  The theme last year was food and what it means in their spiritual as well as their home life.   They each brought with them recipes that reflected either a family occasion or a religious festival and then they shared them with each other.  On their return to their home church they compiled a recipe book! I wonder what they are planning to do this year?

A group of musicians from the Light Church, Bradford visited the centre in July last year.  After spending time together they found a quiet space for themselves in the studio, in the mill or somewhere in the grounds and let the peaceful environment inspire them.  It wasn’t long before melodic strains and chordal patterns were drifting round the grounds, culminating in the creation of two original worship songs.  Their church was blessed by them the next day in their Sunday service.  This group are planning their next visit with us.

We loved our visit on Friday.  We kinda feel God may have uncovered a gem of a place for us in the future.

We would like to say a big thank you for the wonderful day we had on Sunday at the Old Mill. The weather was great, the house was wonderful, and the scenery was amazing, what more can be said.

We had a really lovely time at the Old Mill...again!  We spent lots of time worshipping, eating & laughing, which was just what we wanted to do. The Old Mill’s perfect for all of that so thanks so much for creating such a great place.

The young people had such a great time and The Old Mill Centre was the perfect place for us to spend time together.  They are already asking when they can go back again so it seems we might be returning with them at some point!  Thanks for allowing us to stay in your wonderful Centre.
