Four exciting singing workshops will give local women and children the chance to sample a new and inspiring programme of creative activities at The Old Mill Centre, Skeeby.

The taster sessions will run on November 2 and November 9 from 10am – 12.15pm for ladies and 2pm - 3.45pm for children aged 7-14 years. They are open to anyone who loves to sing, regardless of ability.

The courses will be led by experienced musical director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole and local teacher and singer-songwriter Kirsti-Anna Hume. Covering a range of popular music genres, the workshops are designed to enthuse and inspire people about singing and music-making.

“These courses are all about enabling people to have fun singing in a positive  and friendly environment,” says Workshop Leader and Centre Director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole. “People can come along for one or both sessions. There is no pressure, no need to book, just come along and try it out!”

All participants will be invited to take part in an informal, no obligation, Showcase at the forth-coming Open Day at the Centre on the 16th November.

The Old Mill Centre, opened in 2012 by William Hague, is rapidly becoming a thriving holiday, retreat and performing/creative arts centre.  The singing workshops are part of a dedicated programme of courses, workshops and events currently being designed and piloted to give both holiday makers and local people truly inspirational experiences at the beautifully restored 400 year old stone mill.

The taster sessions cost £5 and include tea, coffee, juice and biscuits. For more information contact barbara@oldmillcentre.co.uk
