14th October

Performers at any stage of experience are invited to play or sing at another Showcase Entre Nous at The Old Mill Centre in Skeeby, Richmond on Saturday 1st November, from 4.15pm.  The only audience will be you!

Anyone aged 14 upwards can contribute a performance of any standard for a small charge of £5 per performer.

The Showcase is ideal for those that haven’t performed for a long time, or indeed ever, but would like to have a go.  Equally, more experienced musicians currently preparing a new piece can try it out too.  G.C.S.E., A level and instrumental examination students will also find this a supportive place to have a dress rehearsal for their exams.

Last May, musicians from a variety of backgrounds, genres and abilities set aside their nerves, tried out new pieces and shared their musical experiences: singer/guitarist Fiona Limb grasped the chance of a dress rehearsal before standing in front of guests at her friend’s wedding ceremony; having accompanied flute player Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole at previous Showcases, pianist Pam Thompson now braved a solo performance; with adrenalin flowing following her participation in a small singing group, Olive Harrison was inspired ‘on the spot’ to treat us with a touching rendition of The Rose.  These are to name but a few.

So, come along and join us, why not?  Once performances are over, complimentary refreshments are provided!

An accompanist may be provided by prior arrangement by contacting the centre’s owner and Musical Director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole on 01625 523397 or by email barbara@oldmillcentre.co.uk.  To book your place or for further details contact Barbara directly or visit www.oldmillcentre.co.uk
