4th April

Open day

More singing workshops this spring will meet demand from local women and children inspired to sing at The Old Mill Centre, Skeeby, Richmond.   This is part of the centre’s developing programme of creative activities led by experienced musical director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole

The next sessions will run on: April 26 and May 31 from 10am – 12.15pm for ladies and 1.30-3.15pm for children aged 7-14.  They are open to anyone who loves to sing, regardless of ability.

Covering a range of popular music genres, the workshops are designed to enthuse and inspire people about singing, music-making – and life.

"I've always loved singing and never felt I was any good at it. Barbara made me feel comfortable and confident to sing and to really enjoy the experience. The whole workshop was very life-affirming", commented Cathy MacNamara after the workshops last November.

“People can come along for one or both sessions. There is no pressure, just come along and try it out!”  says Workshop Leader and Centre Director Barbara.

Parents will be invited to see what the children have been doing on May 31 at 3.15pm. The ladies' group will have the opportunity to present their songs at the Old Mill’s next informal, no obligation Showcase Entre Nous on May 31, 4.15pm.

The sessions will cost £5 and include drinks and biscuits. To book a place or for more information contact barbara@oldmillcentre.co.uk, visit the centre’s website: www.oldmillcentre.co.uk or phone: 01625 523397.
