8th May

-

Experienced or not, performers are invited to another Showcase Entre Nous at The Old Mill Centre in Skeeby, Richmond on Saturday 31st May from 4.15pm.

Ideal for those that haven’t performed on their own for a long time but would like to have a go again, this event gives instrumentalists and singers an opportunity to perform a piece of music in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.  The only audience will be the performers.

Following the last showcase pianist Pam Thomson said: “It’s always been a real challenge for me to overcome performance nerves, so to do it in a ‘safe’, supportive environment was fantastic. Everyone was in a similar boat so the pressure was off.  It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to the next one!”

More experienced musicians currently preparing a new piece can try it out at the Showcase too.  G.C.S.E., A level and instrumental examination students will also find this a supportive place to have a dress rehearsal for their exams.

Anyone aged 15 upwards can contribute a performance of any standard for a small charge of £5 per performer.  Refreshments are included.

An accompanist may be provided by prior arrangement by contacting the centre’s owner and Musical Director Barbara Sutcliffe-Cole on 01625 523397 or by email barbara@oldmillcentre.co.uk.  To book your place or for further details contact Barbara directly or visit www.oldmillcentre.co.uk
